10 Ways to Spark your Entrepreneurship Spirit
Here is the top 10 things you can do to become more passionate about entrepreneurship:
- Subscribe to an Entrepreneur Newsletter or magazines:
- Entrepreneurial Women is a FREE Monthly Newsletter, packed with information and resources
- Inc. Maganize
- Entrepreneur
- Forbes
This are just few examples of things that you should be reading.
- Join a Community Business Organization:
Almost every community has organizations that you can join to meet and talk with other women entrepreneurs. You can find a meetup group in your area where you can meet face to face with other entrepreneur women or you can join a group on facebook or twitter.
We have them all for you as well. We have a meetup in the Anchorage area, a Facebook group (Entrepreneur Women), and a page on Twitter.
- Hang around a Business School:
Where else will you find a larger hotbed of entrepreneurial activity and new business start-ups in the earliest stages than at a University Business School? However, wouldn't be better than that, getting coached by someone who went to one of the best Business Schools in the Planet?
- Tell a friend:
That way you will think twice before quitting
- Put together a Feasibility Study:
This will help you define the conditions under which you are willing to proceed. It will also make you more comfortable with your business idea and feel more confident about moving forward.
- Stop using your JOB as an excuse:
I could go as far as suggesting for you to quit or get laid off, but since I know you probably do need the money to pay bills, I won't. On the other hand, I want you to know that I put this website together between the hours of 8pm and midnight, because during the day, I had my coaching clients and my kids to attend, not to mention having dinner ready.
- Discovery your Industry:
Learn everything you can about the industry your product or service will fit. Talk to owners, suppliers, customers. Become an expert!
- Spend time with a Woman Entrepreneur:
What a better way to inspire yourself to start a business than to spend time with someone who has done just that?
- Find a Mentor:
When you are starting a business for the first time, it's wonderful to have someone you can turn to when you need advice, when you are frustrated or discouraged, or when you want to share a small win. As a Coach, I'll be honest with you, I will be help you get up if you fall down, I'll make you accountable; and together we'll build your success.
- Take action:
In order to start the snow ball effect, you have to take action, and do something: Anything!. A good step will be to get a coach to guide on what steps to take and how to focus on the goal.
