Skills Inventory of a Woman Entrepreneur
As a Woman in business, you are going to have to create a set of skills inventory in order to succeed, but sometimes it's difficult to even recognize how should that look like.
These are some of the abilities that you are going to need, in order to cope with the multiple surprises of entrepreneurship: - Number skills: Skills related to getting the money you need for starting a new business and of course accounting for it as well as financial reporting.
- Sales skills: As a woman entrepreneur you are always going to be selling someone, like customers, employees or vendors.
- Marketing skills: No one scape this one!
- Leadership skills: Remember the weakest link show? Well, when you get to have employees, you'll have to be more than a boss to them. A leader is what they will need.
There are other talents that your skills inventory should have as well:- Confidence: You need to know that you will make it; with risks, debt, roadblocks, and all that you will encounter. You will make it, because you made a decision and you are confident about that decision.
- Intuition: We women entrepreneur have a sixth sense, for all that I know, gut feeling, call it whatever way you want, so you won't have a problem here!
- Optimism: Really, have you heard about "The Law of attraction", or as the Jesus said: "Ask and you shall receive"? You painted your future when writing down your goals, you need to be confident and optimistic about them or it'll be hard for you to get them.
- Perseverance: This is my favorite skill, even my baby girl, who is not 1 year old yet, has this down, she is trying to stand up and she falls down every time, but will she quit? Of course not! Isn't wonderful what little kids can teach us on a daily basis?
- Passion: Passion bleeds through everything you do, touch and say. Your customers, your employees, your competitors will feel it! You'll be happy and successful if you are passionate about what you do; and as my husband tell our kids: "When mama is happy, everybody is happy"
