Business and Personal Goal Setting
Creating goals is the foundation to be a successful entrepreneur; and by working on business and personal goal setting, you will be laying a rock solid foundation for your business and your life.
Goals give us the ability to define our future in advance, as long as they are SMART Goals and the reason that will drive you to achieve the goal is strong enough.
How to do a goal setting exercise?
- List all your goals. Grant yourself with five to ten minutes to write goals, without stopping.
- Assign a time line to each goal. Use less than 1 year, 3, 5, 10, or 20 years. Try not to underestimate your potential.
- Identify your top 3 goals. Preferably goals that have the same, but the shortest time to accomplish them. e.g less than 1 year.
- Write your reason next to each of the 3 goals that you classified as your top goals. Make sure you have a strong enough why for each goal.
How are you going to accomplish your goals?
- Strong Why. Congratulations! You already wrote this part down.
- Pressure. Creating discomfort about your current situation.
- Accountability. Few people can make themselves accountable. However, a
coach like me
will hold you accountable to your goals and will give you the extra push that you need in order to become the successful entrepreneur that you want to be.
