My name is Carmen Shearer and I have created Entrepreneur Women Coaching and Training, LLC to empower women just like you and me. Women who either: want to start a business of their own, or women who have already started a business, but needing a little extra push to get them going and succeeding. Why should you trust me? I've done it all! Seriously... I grew up in Panama City, Panama; and after completing my Undergrad with honors, in Mechanical Industrial Engineering and working in one of the largest Panamanian Companies; I decided to go to Grad School and obtain a Master in Business Administration. I obtained my MBA with Finance concentration from INCAE, founded by Harvard Business School, and against all odds, I landed a job in Silicon Valley (The San Francisco Bay Area). The odds were against me, because the company had to do all the visa paper work with lawyers and everything to be able to offer me a job in the US, not to mention the relocation costs and the obvious fact that English isn't my first language, but fortunately for me, I knew the power of goal setting and the way they can define your future. So I moved to the US and worked for Corporate America managing millions of dollars and giving presentations and recommendations to the board of directors; about new ventures, new products and new projects. I was back then trained as a coach for the first time, to mentor my employees. I was thriving, ready to accomplish what I thought I wanted... Become a Woman CEO in Corporate America. What did happen? You may ask... Well, my first son was born and I just couldn't possibly go back to the empire I had created for myself. Even though I had it all planned and 3 daycare centers lined up, I just couldn't leave that little man under any other care but mine. So, my entrepreneurship life began! What's your story?
